Swindon Town Manager Paul Sturrock spoke to the press as he confirmed his appointment as boss of Swindon Town.

‘Swindon is a big, big club and we would like to think that we can start climbing the leagues. There will be changes,’ said Sturrock. ‘I have seen the players this morning and first impressions are very important to me.

‘I don’t see this job as a quick fix. You can’t get overnight success but for example if I bring players in, they have to be able to hold their own in League One. There is no good bringing in players in, getting promotion than having another overhaul.

‘League Two is very competitive but myself and the coaching staff know what it takes to get out of the division. We have a formula and we want success,’ Sturrock Finished.
