Despite Andy Monkhouse telling the Swindon media he would like a permanent move to Hartlepool United, Swindon Town manager Paul Sturrock has said this won’t happen.
In his daily update on the official website at http://www.swindontownfc.co.uk Sturrock said, ‘We will be speaking to Andy Monkhouse but as far as I am concerned he is coming back to join up with the squad and add competition. Unless there is a very lucrative offer to this football club for him then nothing will change in my mind.’
Monkhouse joined Swindon Town from Rotherham in the Summer under former manager Dennis Wise.

Any relation to Bob?
A quality player who deserves some success in the game.
So far though he seems very prone to injury… which we were warned of when he joined our club.
Monkhouse on his day is great but reminds me of Miglioranzi with his injuries
