Swindon Town manager Paul Sturrock has apologised to the travelling fans who made the trip to Barnet last night, saying the performance was ‘unacceptable’.

Swindon Town had more away fans than home fans at Underhill last night and Sturrock pointed out that the first half performance last night will not see the team promoted.

‘We had a fantastic travelling support’ Sturrock said of the over 1,400 Swindon fans who travelled to Barnet last night.

‘I would like to apologise for our first-half performance,’ Sturrock finished.

There is no word yet as to whether the club will take any action over the Aaron Brown incident where Brown had apparently gestured and swore at Town’s travelling fans after he saw his corner soar into the away support behind the goal towards the end of last night’s game.
