Swindon Town are set to announce that striker Miles Storey is free to leave the club when they release their retained list.

Storey has another year left on his contract at the County Ground but failed to really make any impression since that night against Aston Villa at the County Ground.

Storey has had numerous loan spells including two at Porstmouth and Newport County last season but failed to really impress. Whilst he has pace, the goals haven’t been forthcoming and Town don’t see him as part of the set up going forward.

It is rumoured that Shrewsbury Town, whom Storey had a previously loan spell are interested as well as Walsall.

Should the player find a club he would be available on a free transfer which is a shame as the player showed much promise but has failed mostly to live up to the hype.
