STFC: Swindon Players Scared Of Playing In Swindon

In the latest twist and turn of misery at the County Ground, Swindon Town captain Hasney Aljofree has told the Swindon Advertiser the players are scared of playing at Swindon.

Aljofree who is supposed to be the captain and rally the players on the pitch told the Advertiser, ‘There’s a reason why we’re not winning here – it’s not like no-one knows – I think we’re a bit scared to play, worried about letting the fans down and worried about letting ourselves down.

‘You’ve seen that there was nothing really in the (Millwall) game, but we just didn’t even produce, especially in the first half.

‘But it’s a strange feeling to have. I’ve never had this in my career before where the lads are scared to play at home.’

The fans at the County Ground have lately voiced their disapproval of the pathetic home performances as of late and have started to chant for manager Maurice Malpas to be sacked.

Town have only mustered 2 wins thus far this season and will face a battle to stay in League One should the poor form continue.
