Swindon Town have this morning named Martin Ling as the clubs new manager following the departure of Mark Cooper last month.

Ling returns for his third spell at the club after having two spells at the County Ground as a player.

Ling had previously named the Swindon Town job his dream job and was excited when he spoke to the press this morning,

Ling said, ‘Swindon have been a big part of my life in football. It feels really good and it’s about getting the club up the league as soon as possible.’

‘I have been doing some scouting work and watched Swindon last year. They were scintillating to watch – and I was always excited to go and watch them.’

Ling had previous managerial spells at Leyton Orient, Cambridge United and Torquay United.

Ling has signed a 2 and a half year contract at the County Ground.
