Swindon Town are looking at potentially signing highly rated Hungerford Town defender Matt Berry-Hargreaves.

The player had been at Swindon this week training whilst Luke Williams looks at the player.

Hungerford manager Bobby Wilkinson told the Swindon Advertiser, “The lad has potential. If he can keep being coached and learning, I`ll put it this way: he should be at a pro club without a shadow of a doubt,” Wilkinson told the Advertiser.

“Swindon had seen him in a couple of academy games and then heard he was in my first team because I`m one of those managers where I don`t care how old you are.

Hungerford is no secret to Town in terms of having talented players with former Swindon Town and England striker Charlie Austin having played for the club.

Town may face competition for the player with both Barnet and local rivals Oxford United showing interest.
