Town defender Alan Sheehan has expressed his determination to get fit and back into the squad.

The former Leicester City and Leeds United player has endured several minor injuries and suspension since joining Swindon Town on a Free Transfer upon his release from Leeds United earlier this season.

Talking to the Swindon Advertiser, Sheehan admitted that the season has been ‘very frustrating for [Sheehan] to come in and play a few games, get suspended, injured and then there were a few games called off. Then I came back in and did okay against Peterborough and Bournemouth and then I felt my hammy again. It`s been a very stop-start season for me and something I`m definitely willing to put right.

Sheehan talked of his hope of lining-up against Bristol Rovers this coming weekend in a match he dubbed a ‘six pointer’.
