Former Swindon Town favourite ‘Super’ Sam Parkin has signed for Scottish Premier League outfit St. Johnstone.

Parkin, 29, has struggled since leaving Swindon in 2005 – playing for Ipswich Town, Luton Town, Leyton Orient and Walsall. Thus far his 67 league goals in 124 Town appearances has been his most settled and successful spell of his career.

With trips to Celtic and Rangers to look forward to (and the long journey to Jerel Ifil and Aberdeen) Parkin has signed a two year deal and links up with his fellow Chelsea alumni Michael Duberry and Jody Morris at McDiarmid Park.
