STFC: Old Boys

Craig Easton has been made captain of Southend after agreeing a one year contract to join Paul Sturrock’s side along with former old boys Zaaboub Corr and Blair Sturrock. I wonder whether Aljofree will be next on the list?

Billy Paynter opened his account for Leeds United by scoring the winner in their pre-season friendly last night against MFK Kosice. Snodgrass also missed a penalty so it looks like Paynter will definately struggle to equal last seasons total if he isnt on penalty duty.

Lloyd Mackin has signed a deal with Torquay united for whom he spent a brief period on loan for last season.

Mark Marshall and Kurt Hammonds are still currently searching for a new club.

There is nothing worse than watching a player that you release suddenly start to show the form that you always knew he had but failed to show when with you. While you wish players well who leave when released you don’t really want them rubbing your face in it.

Good luck to them all at Southend, PS is a good lower league manager, made a huge mistake going back to Plymouth for another term, of which really by leaving us kickstarted our revival with another new manager (DW).

I think easton is a good player and is good enough for swindon but think he was always going to move as at his age he wants to be playing

Easton will captain Southend. Good luck to him.
