Soon to be departing midfielder Alan O’Brien has stated that he hasn’t been given a fair opportunity from new boss Paul Hart as he prepares to leave the County Ground.

Since joining on a free transfer after his release from Hibernian, O’Brien has struggled to cement a place in the Town size due to that usual mix of injuries and poor form.

Talking to the Swindon Advertiser, the former Republic of Ireland international stated that the Advertiser: ‘I haven`t done anything wrong. It is obviously his decision so I have to deal with it and try and get somewhere else to go. I don`t think there is anything I could have done or can do to get into the first team.’

O’Brien remains a member of the Town set-up but will see out his contract in the reserves and will most likely feature against Chippenham Town in the Wiltshire Premier Shield.
