New Motherwell signing David Gow has hit back at claims that a move to Swindon Town collapsed due to his wage demands.

Talking to the press, Gow stated that personal terms had in fact never been agreed with Swindon and that he met Danny Wilson who ‘seemed like a nice guy and very experienced as well but the deal that they offered wasn’t to be and I decided to move back up the road and sign for Motherwell.’

It is believed that David Gow underwent a medical and was shown around the County Ground on Deadline Day. Surely this would suggest that personal terms had been offered and agreed because why would a club bother doing a medical otherwise?

Each to their own! A six month contract hardly seems like the transfer any footballers was holding out for!
