Vice-Captain Scott Cuthbert does not require surgery on his cheekbone as originally suspected.

The 23 year old Scottish defender was expected to miss several games within Swindon’s battle from the drop.

However, Town manager Paul Hart told BBC Wiltshire that the club had ‘got the scans back and the consultant said an operation wasn’t necessary… Scott’s been doing well and it’s good to have him clear of that.’

Town take on Brighton and Hove Albion tomorrow.
