STFC: Celtic link paying dividends

It appears that thanks to the great work from Andrew Fitton, the Celtic links that they created at the start of last season are again being used this season with the town being linked with a double swoop for Simon Ferry and Paul Caddis according to the Swindon Advertiser.

This is showing great intent as a few seasons ago us town fans could only have dreamt about a midfield trio consisting of Douglas, Ferry and Prutton. The link with Paul Caddis will also provide great cover along the right hand side of the pitch. With these signings the strength of the squad will be much stronger than at this stage last season but the decision for Wilson to wait patiently to ‘get his men’ is certainly one that is working well.

The buzz of being a town fan has never been greater in my opinion and thanks to the great work that Fitton and Co are doing, I look forward to welcoming more permanent and loan signings in the coming weeks.

If you do sign Caddis then I would say you have pulled off a real coup. He is a great player – championship class at least. The only reason he hasn’t played more at Celtic is that Andreas Hinkel has been in his way. It will be between him and Alan Hutton as Scotland’s right back when he gets a regular game at club level.

Sounds as if he is one for us then – or least try for him.
