I don’t want to get bogged down in the politics of a pretty high profile player joining a (sort of) rival club.

I also don’t want to get entrentched in a geographical debate.

However, I am from Wiltshire and I was taught from an early age that my beloved county was within the glorious West County aka the South West, something Wiltshire folk tend to be quite proud of.

However, what’s this I read from David James when talking about joining the South Bristol outfit…

‘the South West has not had a club in the Premier League and that needs to change.’

Okay, we may have been pretty poor that season but it appears that the 1993/94 season is clearly dust in the wind for the artist often dubbed ‘Calamity’.

In fairness he did miss the two Liverpool fixtures against Swindon that season.

Either way, SORT YOURSELF OUT!
