Swindon Town have completed the loan signing of Brighton & Hove Albion legend Adam El-Abd on loan from Bristol City.

El-Abd made over 300 appearances for his home town club Brighton before making a permanent transfer to Swindon’s west country rivals Bristol City signing a three year and a half year contract prior to last season.

El-Abd failed to make an impression at City and was sent on loan to Bury and helped them win promotion to League One last season scoring one goal in 24 appearances for the club.

With City winning promotion to the Championship last term, El-Abd was never going to get a chance to shine and has returned to League One with Swindon in the hopes of perhaps earning a permanent deal.

El-Abd made his Swindon debut against Peterborough United in the 1-0 loss on Saturday.
