Swindon Town have confirmed that another reminder of the clubs past has come to an end.
Last week construction company St. Modwen, through the Guardian newspaper, suggested the club were on the brink of a winding up order due to a debt of over £1.5 million. St. Modwen has been employed by the former board to develope a plan to construct a new stadium outside of the County Ground site.
A statement on the official Swindon Town website simply said…
‘The Board of Swindon Town FC is pleased to confirm that the issue relating to a loan between St Modwen Properties plc and Swindon Town Football Company Limited has today been resolved to the full satisfaction of both parties.’
