A question will be asked and lets see how the conversation goes.

Question 1

‘What must Andrew Fitton do to bring a feel good factor to the County Ground’

Is it a simple case of start winning? Or are there other angles the board must look at in order to put smiles on the faces of the Town fans.

It’s a topic that’s been brought up lately and I hope people will contribute.

After the relief of the Fitton consortium takeover a year ago, we the fans are beginning to stop attending matches. The performances have been poor, but that’s not new at Swindon Town.

Fitton needs to capture the imaginations of his punters. Obviously, the Season Ticket offer was very good but it was ultimately unsuccessful.

    So what next?

  • FittonIsGod says:

I think if we got rid of the useless passionless players and replaced them with players proud to wear the shirt, it would be enough for me. This season every game the players have put in a complete lack of effort. I think that’s what has annoyed most fans. You could probably name about 3 players this season who’ve shown 100% commitment on the pitch.

  • Nellup says:

A good point. I think most of us are happy as long as the players are giving it their all. This is because we’ve rarely been a major player so the attitudes of the team have saved them from criticism in the past.

Commitment to the cause can cause positive results too. Teams like Scunthorpe never had the greatest squad but good attitude and leadership saw them promoted.

New faces and perhaps get a football man on board in the board room to try and get things going again. Don’t get me wrong, Fitton knows football but we need someone who has been around the game for a while to give advise like a General Manager.

  • Nellup says:

I think that was a good think about Devlin, he loves his football.

I just think there has to be a short term plan of action in place during this window. There might be, but we need to see it!
