Swindon Town fans will be keeping an eye on the Simon Cox sweepstakes.

Town are set to receive around 20% of any fee should Cox be sold as expected.

Then chairman Andrew Fitton noted he was keen to ensure Town would not be stung should Cox go on to bigger and better things following his transfer from Swindon Town.

Since his departure Cox has been used mainly as a midfielder despite scoring 30 goals for Town prior to the move and has established himself as a force on the International stage for the Republic Of Ireland at Euro 2012.

With no less than 4 teams vying for his signature, this can only be a good thing for Swindon Town as the price keeps getting pushed up meaning Town are set to receive a bigger wedge.

Nottingham Forest are rumoured to have agreed a fee with West Brom last night according to the local rag in Nottingham and are meeting with Cox`s agent to work out a deal to lure him to the City Ground.

Blackburn Rovers, Celtic and Swansea City are also in the race to sign the Ireland International who is entering the final year of his contract.
