On loan Reading Striker Simon Cox looks likely to leave the County Ground after his loan spell ends on the 1st of January.

Cox has been simply sensational and scored 8 goals since arriving on deadline day and hopes to up that tally to 10 by the New Year.

Swindon Town will attempt to extend Cox` loan until the end of the season, however it appears that Cox will be snapped up by a Championship club for the second half of the season with former Town boss Paul Sturrock keen to snap him up and take him to Plymouth.

Cox will go on to better things but it is a shame we couldn`t sign Cox to a permanent deal during the transfer window.

Come on, its not surprising – it could have been any other manager, he’s a class player. Can hardly blame Sturrock for wanting him. He’s not our player after all

I wonder if we could talk him into staying – hopefully the traveling to Plymouth may put him off… and hopefully the turnaround in fortunes here may help. If not, we move on..

I think we will miss him if he goes. I don’t blame him for wanting championship/premiership experience but it will still be a loss to stfc. hope he goes any where apart from Plymouth, he could always have Blair if he is short of a striker.
