Swindon Town’s Sean O’Hanlon has dismissed talk he will leave Swindon because the team was relegated to League Two.

‘I’m a Swindon player and I love the club.’

Former Everton and England player O’Hanlon knows that if a bigger club comes along asking for him to join them, it may be too good a chance to turn down. ‘Relegation doesn’t change my views on things. I’ve obviously got ambition, and if a bigger club comes in then I’d have to consider it.

‘But at the moment I’m negotiating with Swindon, trying to sort something out.’

Hopefully Sean O’Hanlon will be a big piece of the puzzle going into next season and help take Swindon Town straight back to League One.

  • to be honest i couldnt blame sean for leaving no doubt league 1 clubs will be chasing him and prob even a few championship ones, cos he is that highly thought of. i’ll believe it when he signs a contract though

  • i DON’T RECKON HE HAS BEEN AS GOOD THIS SEASON TO BE HONEST. hE WILL ONLY STAY IF NOONE ELSE COMES IN FOR HIM.
