Nottingham Forest striker Scott Dobie is the latest striker linked with a move to Swindon Town.

Manager Paul Sturrock has made it no secret he hopes to secure the signature of a striker before the end of the transfer window.

Sturrock whose bid for Wycombe Wanderers hotshot Jermaine Easter appears to have failed after a bid of £125,000 and a bid of £250,000 were turned down for the striker. It seems very unlikely that Easter will leave Wycombe until at least January now.

Dobie has spent time at Carlisle United, Clydebank, West Brom and Millwall before joining Forest in 2005.

Dobie has also been capped by Scotland 6 times. Dobie has scored 53 goals throughout his career before coming down with injuries over the last couple of seasons.

Dobie has managed only 20 league starts since 2005 however is very highly rated by Forest.

Should Forest capture the signature of David McGoldrick, this could clear the way for Dobie to move to the County Ground on a season long loan.
