Town Striker Christian Roberts has come and said he is winning his battle with his alcohol problem.

Since leaving the Sporting Chance alcohol rehabilitation clinic, Roberts has hardly featured in a Town side since returning to the club. Talking of overcoming his alcoholism Roberts was open and honest, ?I didn?t realise how tough it would be. It?s a very difficult thing to deal with, it?s still difficult now but I?m trying to do the best i can.’

?Every day is a new day. Every day I wake up I just have to thank God that I haven?t had a drink the day before. Tomorrow, who knows? I never look for tomorrow, I live out today.

?It?s so far so good. I?ve not had a drink since January 13 when I was told I wasn?t allowed a drink after 11pm that day.?

Roberts scored a goal for the Reserves Tuesday and hopes to be able to play a part in Swindon ‘s match against Bristol City Saturday at Ashton Gate.
