Ex-Town loanee Liam Ridehalgh has joined League One side Chesterfield on loan until the end of the season.

Ridehalgh was recently a key member of the Town side that went unbeaten in 15 games.

It was thought that Ridehalgh had been re-called due to an injury to Calum Woods however the left back was not even on the bench after he returned to Huddersfield.

It has since been rumoured Di Canio opted not to re-new the loan deal due to the League Two wage cap.

Di Canio has already been told that players need to leave the County Ground in order to bring new ones in with Mattia Lanzano, Alberto Comazzi and Medhi Kerrouche tipped to leave the County Ground shortly.
