Adi Williams’ Swindon Town second string managed to produce a decent performance this evening against the Welsh outfit.

Swansea fielded some first team players including Guillem Bauza, Owain Tudur Jones, Dimi Konstantopoulos, Shaun MacDonald and Fede Bessone while Jamie Vincent returned for Town in a line-up that included trialists Jean-Francois Lescinal and Hamdi Razak.

However, it was the visitors who took the lead after just 6 minutes when Guillem Bauza was fouled by the returning Vincent who stepped up to score the spot kick.

Town equalised shortly when skipper Callum Kennedy connected with Chris Allen’s corner. It didn’t take long for Swansea to re-take the lead though when Bauza grabbed his second.

It didn’t take long for Town to equalise again with a Chris Allen goal which was followed up minutes later with a strike by trialist Hamdi Razak who finished from Lloyd Macklin’s cross.

Razak then went onto to score two more, the second the official site describing a ‘well taken finish’ and the hat-trick was completed after a through ball from Ben Joyce.

Chad Bond pulled one back before Sean Morrison made it six for Town (a goal which made it three goals in three minutes).

  • Our experience of the French players in the past has had mixed results I think. Who was that winger who could out run twist and turn most defenders – trouble was he kept leaving the ball behind…. I think he ended up at at Blue Sq neighbours with the 3 sided ground.
