Swindon Town manager Paolo Di Canio has moved to quash rumours of a move to sign Portsmouth striker Izale McLeod when the transfer window opens next week.

McLeod has scored over 10 times for Pompey after joining from Barnet in the Summer where he scored for run last season prior to being released.

Town were linked with the striker last season but Di Canio has told the media that he feels McLeod, whilst a good striker, would not fit in with what he is trying to do at Swindon and therefore he will look at other targets.
