Swindon Town striker Paul Benson who is currently on loan to Portsmouth has rejected a permanent transfer to League Two side Bradford City.

Town boss Paolo Di Canio had said a League Two side had offered Benson the chance to move there on a permanent deal with a contract extension.

That club was Bradford City, Benson had the chance to re-unite with former Town striker Alan Connell who signed with The Bantams in the Summer.

It is thought that Benson is keen to remain down South and would prefer to make his loan at Portsmouth into a permanent deal.
