Town continue to fight their way back into the top 2 against midtable outfit Walsall at the CG.

Vital Quotes:

Talking to BBC Radio Wiltshire, Danny Wilson talked about keeping up with the likes of Charlton, Millwall and Leeds…

‘What we can do is put massive pressure on the teams around us and we’re confident over the next four games we can get four good results.’

SWINDON TOWN Team News:

Danny Wilson is expected to keep faith in the usual suspects for the Walsall game. There are no new injury concerns for Town.

Alan O’Brien is definately out injured.

Player to watch: CHARLIE AUSTIN

Austin has failed to find the net in his last two outings and will be desperate to reach the 20 goal mark within his astonishing debut season in the Football League.

WALSALL Team News:

Darren Byfield went off injured at Half-Time during their heartbreaking loss at Huddersfield Town. However, he is expected to be fit enough to play. Dwayne Mattis is also expected to be fit.

Meanwhile, Mark Hughes was sent off at Huddersfield and is therefore suspended.

Player to watch: TROY DEENEY

Got a brace in midweek after suffering a bit of a goal drought. He’ll be keen to add to his tally at Swindon.

Match Facts & Stats

The last meeting was a 1-1 draw with Troy Deeney putting Walsall into an early lead but a late Billy Paynter (who also missed a penalty earlier in the match) Spotkick levelled matters late on.

Former Robins Jamie Vincent and former Town favourite Sam Parkin are currently on the books at the Bescot. Vincent will play but Parkin will most likely start on the bench.

Match Prediction:

Although not mathematically safe it would take a unfortunate series of events to see the Saddlers relegated – they can secure survival tomorrow. However, Town have Promotion to fight for so I predict a hard fought 2-1 win for Town.

Next Fixtures:

Town travel to Buckinghamshire to take on struggling Wycombe Wanderers.

Tough one this. I honestly believe that Walsall are safe so we MUST attack Walsall from the start and hope their minds are on their holidays! Fingers crossed.
