A very poor Swindon Town backed by over 250 Swindon Town and Sheffield Wednesday supporters suffer a 2-0 defeat at Field Mill this evening.

Going into this match Mansfield Town had not won in 4 games, but this was to be The Stags night.

Richie Barker scored his 13th goal of the season from a Matt Hamshaw cross on the 3rd minute and Swindon Town never looked like creating anything after that.

Simon Brown, who earlier missed two golden chances, made it 2-0 prior to half time.

The only real chance Swindon had was from Lukas Jutkiewicz who came close twice, however with the wind and rain Swindon didn’t ever look like getting anything from this game.

When the final whistle blew the pain was over for Town fans who faced a long journey back South.

That’s a poor following oxford took over 500 on a tuesday night and around a 1,000 for saturday games there.

That’s because they wanted to get out of Oxford!!!!

Peacock has got to go, if he can’t score goals in league two what use is he.

If Sturrock is so adamant on town attacking from the wings surely he should sign a big target man.

Yes Peacock has been disappointing, I thought he’d be far better than this. He’s a grafter but the end result isn’t good enough.
