Former Swindon Town manager Maurice Malpas has been interviewed for the vacant managers role at bottom club Crewe Alexandra.
Malpas has already had discussions with Crewe after he was dismissed by Swindon after a poor string of results.
The former Scottish International has said that his time at the County Ground was ‘enjoyable’ and feels he can lead The Alex to League One safety.
Many Swindon Town fans will warn Crewe fans of Maurice’s ability to keep a squad together as a unit.
Injuries plagued Malpas’ tenure at the County Ground but ultimately it was a poor run in the cups including an embarrassing loss to Histon in The FA Cup that cost Malpas his job at the County Ground.
