Swindon Town No.1 goalkeeper David Lucas missed todays home draw with Colchester United after being injured during the pre-match warm up.
The 31 year old, who had been ever present for Town this season, fell awkwardly while undergoing the routine warm-up session. It is currently not known how seriously the injury Lucas has picked up is.
Meanwhile, his replacement Phil Smith was voted Man-of-the-Match by the matchball sponsors. Smith, who produced some decent saves during the games told the official Swindon Town website that the Colchester fixture ‘was a game that this time last year we might not have got a point out of… the lads are looking solid across the park and the whole squad is going in the right direction.’
Manager Danny Wilson now faces the potential dilemma of who to put in goal for next weeks trip to Walsall.
