Swindon Town manager Luke Williams has said that midfielder Yaser Kasim is still several weeks away from a return to action.

Kasim has looked a shell of himself this season with rumours of him wanting to leave the County Ground taking its toll on the player.

Kasim was linked with a move to Swansea City in January however nothing materialised and his play since had been poor.

Speaking to swindontownfc.co.uk, Williams gave a bleak prognosis on the Iraqi International saying, ‘Yaser is still a few weeks away. He`s very much par for the course with this type of injury. He’s doing everything correctly but still a few weeks before we can more accurately pinpoint a date.’

With only seven weeks left of the season, it is possible we have seen the last of Kasim in a Swindon shirt.
