Defender Steve Jenkins has told the local media he wants to stay at Swindon and take the club back to where it belongs.
Jenkins, who was knocked out Saturday at Bristol City after a rough challenge believe’s the club deserve to be in League One or higher.
Like most Town players he said, ?I?m up at the end of the year, so I?m sure the next week will determine a few things.’
?I think everyone wants to stay here and put things right and get this club back where it should be.?
Jenkins has never played in League 2 and looks forward to a new challenge infront of him.
Jenkins joined Town from Peterborough last season after initially joining Swindon on loan.

Well he’s certainly taking a load of bull there .
to be fair i think the majority of players out of contract will wanna stay whether we can afford them in league 2 or even good enough is another matter players like shakes, o’hanlon, and evans will prob leave cos they can play at a higher level than even league 1
i don’t reckon that they are that good to play at league one. After all these were influential players at Swindon and look where we are now relegated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
