Swindon Town F.C. have confirmed that they have finally met the terms of the Company Voluntary Agreement and therefore are officially out of administration! Hurray!

The CVA was agreed in June 2008 and puts another factor of the clubs troubled past has ended.

Talking to the Swindon Advertiser, Chairman Andrew Fitton stated that the club ploughed ‘thousands of pounds on lawyers which had no influence of Swindon Town Football Club’ and that the club ‘could have been subjected to a transfer embargo’ but the Football Association were happy with the clubs progress to allow Town to continue bringing in players.

Fitton commented that the end of CVA payments is reason to celebrate but emphasised that the issue ‘doesn’t help the players or help us win game. It is just crap that has to be swept up.’

But we appreciate it Mr. Fitton & Co!
