The latest managers to be interviewed for the Swindon Town job are Scottish duo John Hughes and Gus McPherson.

Hughes, 46, managed Falkirk between 2003 and 2009. He guided The Bairns to the Scottish Premier League and were also runners-up to Rangers in the 2009 Scottish Cup Final.

He joined Hibernian in 2009 and stayed for just over a year, losing his job in October 2010 after a poor run. He was replaced at Easter Road by Town legend Colin Calderwood.

Meanwhile, 42 year old Gus McPherson has been looking for a new job since surprisingly losing his job at St. Mirren in 2010.

A former youth player with Rangers who went on to enjoy 11 years with Kilmarnock as a player before joining St. Mirren, becoming manager in 2003 and taking them into the SPL in 2006.

Like Hughes, McPherson was a losing finalist to Rangers. In 2010 he guided St. Mirren to the Scottish League Cup Final, losing 1-0.
