Swindon Town have been linked with several decent names this Summer. How things have changed over the last few months on and off the pitch.

It has taken a while for Maurice Malpas to be accepted by the Swindon Town faithful however he is doing a good job in recruiting decent players to the County Ground.

Malpas signed Michael Timlin from Fulham permanently as well as Anthony McNamee who has been a revelation since arriving from Watford.

Last summer Town were facing the very real prospect of going into liquidation.
Andrew Fitton arrived in January and now things have never looked better at the County Ground.

There are several updates being made to the County Ground stadium including all red and white seats instead of the multi-coloured seats that were used for price structuring many years ago and potentially executive boxes on the Stratton Bank.

The club has hired a groundsman permanently who will ensure the pitch is kept up to scratch. Over the years the pitch has been underinvested in and now the club are looking to have one of the best playing surfaces in League One.

On the pitch, Town have been linked with some good players including Scott Murray, Kevin Amankwaah, Steve Gillespie, Richie Forlan, Stuart Fleetwood and even Sam Parkin.

It`s a great time to be a Swindon Town fan with the club desperately trying to become the centre of the community again and bring the club back to it`s once glorious past and has even named Don Rogers as an ambassador to the club.
