Swindon Town could be set to cash in on Paul Caddis who could be set to make his loan move to Birmingham permanent.

Town fans shouldn’t hold their breath for a big windfall though as Birmingham Acting chairman Peter Pannu has confessed his clubs finances are not in good order and they are set to listen to offers for talisman goalkeeper Jack Butland in January to ease the worries of the club heading for administration.

‘I can’t say that we are in a very wonderful situation, I would be lying if I said that,’ Pannu told the Birmingham Mail. ‘This is a very tricky question (transfers). What I can say is that, and I might be blasted for this by the fans, but no one is for sale and everyone is available. As at any club.

‘Give me a £15m offer for Jack Butland, can I say no? I have rejected £6m from Southampton but I rejected it when our finances were OK. As the time is ticking, I might not be able to reject it if I get something similar.

Town are likely to ask for around £300,000 for Caddis after he lead Town to the League Two title last season and has impressed Birmingham manager Lee Clark so far this season during his loan spell.

Many Town fans had said that Caddis should be re-called to the team due to his performances last season but a slagging match regarding Town’s medical facilities put an end to any hope of a reconciliation between Paolo Di Canio and Paul Caddis.
