If you just happen to be in or around Swindon and see a young professional footballer walking down the street constantly pinching himself then you would have encountered one Charlie Austin.

According to this mornings exclusive by the Swindon Advertiser, Charlie Austin could be on the brink of a reasonably surprising call-up into the England Under-21 squad.

U-21 coach Brian Eastick was in attendance to see Austin score another goal last weekend which was very nicely taken.

The Advertiser believe that Stuart Pearce has even met up with Danny Wilson to discuss the possibility of selecting the Town forward who started the season working in construction and playing Wessex Premier League.

Recent Forwards to be included in Pearce’s under-21 squads

Andrew Carroll (Newcastle United)

Daniel Sturridge (Chelsea)

Zavon Hines (West Ham United)
