After weeks of positive quotes from player, club and press it looks like Jonathan Douglas is leaving the club for League One Brentford.

The Town captain who sweeped the end-of-season awards for the 2009/10 season suggested that he and his settled family were happy and that the former Ireland international would remain at the club.

Even the club appeared to expect Douglas to stay.

Douglas’ pending exit is a reasonable loss. Like most he had a stinker of a season and was just as responsible for our club plight. However, nobody can deny that he could have been an asset in League Two.

Ho hum.
