Deputy Chairman Mark Devlin who often speaks to fans on internet message boards, has apologised to fans for the team’s lacklustre performance against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Below is the excerpt from the chatroom discussion apologising to fans after the 7-1 humiliation that left fans frustrated and demanding an apology.

‘we put a message up on the official site on Monday to thank those fans who travelled to Nottingham. But on behalf of the players, and everyone at the club, I apologise for the unacceptable performance last Saturday.’

‘We need to move on now, the Tranmere game is vital and your support is needed more than ever, we are still very capable of pulling clear to safety.’
