Who would have taken a point before the kick-off today?

Well, Danny Wilson talked of going to The Valley for three points so he felt it was up for grabs. However, I do believe that the overwhelming majority of Town fans would have happily taken a draw.

The reality is that Town conceded a 94th minute equaliser to a side down to nine men – you cannot shrug off the disappointment of this result despite being away from home against a quality side.

In the post-match interview Wilson bemoaned the manner that Athletic equalised late on by stated that Town had ‘went to sleep on one ball and it’s in the net’.

Wilson was happily with how Town coped against promotion chasing Charlton but felt the side should have really finished Charlton off after Deon Burton was sent-off.

The Swindon boss did praise the home sides work under pressure – ‘Charlton did well in defensive situations and kept themselves in the game.’

Danny Wilson must now motivate his side for the home clash versus Yeovil Town on Monday – a side who will be buzzing after a comprehensive victory against Wycombe Wanderers today.
