Former Swindon Town striker Jamie Cureton has spat in the faces of another set of fans by requesting a transfer away from Colchester United.

Cureton who played his part in ensuring Swindon`s relegation to League 2 by missing open goals at Yeovil and Bristol City, went on to rub Swindon fans faces in the relegation and began bragging about how easy it was to leave Swindon for Colchester at the end of that season and how he was too big for League 2 football.

Cureton inked a 2 year deal with then newly promoted Colchester Untied and went on to become the Championships top scorer last season despite hardly seeing the goal the year previous to that at Swindon.

Cureton states he is not happy Colchester have not brought in decent players thus far after the departure of strike partner Chris Iwelumo.

Should Cureton leave, Colchester will most likely fight a relegation battle next season after losing their top 2 strikers.

  • How to win friends and influence people eh!! What a prat he is, does he really think he’s bigger than the club again.

  • Yeah, but to be the leagues top scorer in the Championship is some acheivement. He’s not getting any younger and probably wants a crack at a bigger club, like he had at Reading a few years back.

What a difference a couple of years makes though – when he was first at Swindon he couldn’t hit a cows backside with a banjo!!

  • When he left he wasn’t that much better. Don’t think our system suited him and he didn’t jel with the fans too well.
