Vital Swindon Town would like to send it’s condolences and thoughts to the family of Hartlepool United’s Michael Maidens who was tragically killed over the weekend.

Maidens a promising player who came up through the youth ranks at Hartlepool was tragically killed in a car accident on the weekend.

The promising midfielder will be remembered by Hartlepool fans for his cracking 40 yard goal against Huddersfield in 2006.

This tragic accident comes less than 2 months after QPR’s Ray Jones was killed in a car crash.

Our condolences and thoughts go out to Hartlepool United F.C, the fans, players and most importantly the family and friends of Michael Maidens at this very sad time.
