Swindon Town had a reality check tonight when they got outclassed by a Walsall side who had clearly done their homework and made Swindon Town look more like Swindon Supermarine.

Ashley Hemmings lead the way with 2 goals for the Saddlers on 18 minutes and 78 minutes.

Whilst it was Swindon Town’s first home loss in 8 months, Town were shocking. Most of the team looked disinterested apart from Nile Ranger who scored Town’s only goal on 83 minutes and Wes Foderingham who prevented the game from being 5 or 6 nil if not worse for the visitors.

Sam Mantom scored the other for Walsall in a win that moves them up to sixth in the League One table.

Swindon drop to 8th after the loss.
