Former Swindon Town defender Chris Blackburn has signed for League 2 side Aldershot Town after leaving the club yesterday.
Aldershot Town boss Garry Waddock told BBC Southern Counties Radio, ‘He admits maybe it was too big a jump when he joined Swindon, but he just wants to come and play for us.’
Those comments would back up Maurice Malpas assessment of the player who was told he would never get a game at Town.
Waddock finished off by saying, ‘He’s strong, aggressive and a good organiser, and gives us competition.’
Blackburn joins The Shots on a 2 year deal.

You may not have liked him, but it does sound as if Aldershot are happy, and they seem to be builging decent squad for their return to the league.
