With the arrival of Dennis Wise as manager, some contract offers have been changed.

Deputy Chairman Mark Devlin has given us an update on some of the contract offers the club had made prior to Dennis Wise arrival as manager at Swindon Town.

Andy Nicholas was expected to sign a new contract with Town shortly. Given Iffy Onuora’s departure it was unclear whether this contract had been withdrawn. Devlin advised that new manager Dennis Wise thought it would be unfair to withdraw the contract offer.

Steve Jenkins and Paul Smith were expected to get new contracts with Town however, Devlin said that may not happen now and the players will have to speak to Dennis Wise.

Sean O’Hanlon is still mulling over his current contract offer.

Rhys Evans is currently speaking to Blackpool, Swindon and perhaps one other club. Evans has a new agent and is likely being shopped around before agreeing any offer. Swindon were going to offer Evans a new improved contract however Mark Devlin needs to speak to Dennis Wise before making the offer concrete.

The youth players who were offered contracts have all accepted.

Jamie Cureton has instructed his agent to inact a clause in his contract allowing him to leave the club on a free transfer now the club are relegated to League 2.
