Swindon Town striker Royce Brownlie is looking for a new club after being told he is surplus to requirements at the County Ground.

Speaking to the media after today’s game Manager Paul Sturrock stated, ‘Royce Brownlie has been told that he is surplus to requirements,’ said Town manager Paul Sturrock.

‘He is at an age that he needs to be playing first team football and I couldn’t see that happening here. I have made a conscious decision that he would be well down the pecking order in January after we bring a few in. He is a professional and I am sure he will go about things in the right way,’

Brownlie scored 2 goals for Swindon Town prior to injuring himself at Mansfield.

Will you be looking for some £ from his move?

We will save money on his wages. I think he will be allowed to go on a free. I thought Brownlie was half decent

can’t understand it myself, Pook and Vincent should have been shown the door over Brownlie. It is a puzzle in my opinion.
