Bristol Rugby Club will not be ground sharing at Swindon Town next season after opting for a move to Newport.

At a recent fans forum, Chief Executive Nick Watkins had said the rugby club had been in touch with Swindon Town in regards to a potential groundshare whilst the Memorial Stadium was redeveloped over the next 2 years.

Bristol Rugby coach Richard Hill told the BBC, ‘I really thought that if there’s any ground in Britain that resembles the Memorial Stadium in its current form, it’s Rodney Parade’

Town are still in discussions with another un-named rugby club in regards to a potential groundshare.
