VITAL SWINDON TOWN GROUND REVIEW: Stadium:MK , Home of Milton Keynes Dons.

The Ground – The ground itself is absolutely fantastic and has UEFA accreditation. Despite the grand arena, there is still an awkward feeling that Milton Keynes City should be playing at the stadium and not the former Wimbledon FC. As a stadium though it is a fantastic arena with padded seats. Town fans were located behind the goal on our first and only visit. A vast improvement to the old National Hockey Stadium.

Home Fans – Seemed nice enough, and wanted to talk to Swindon Town supporters. Desperate to be accepted.

Parking – Plenty of Parking at Asda which is connected to the stadium.

Stewarding – Stewards were fine, let fans stand. The stewards didn`t get in the way, very helpful telling us where the away end was.

Food – As you would expect from a modern stadium, the food was superb and there was a decent range.

Away Fans Pub – There was no pub anywhere near the arena on our visit although they do sell beer inside the ground in a large concourse which stewards ensure you stay in to avoid getting views of the pitch whilst having a pint.

Overall – As a football purist I don’t like the idea of football league football being given to Milton Keynes. I doubt I’d go back to the stadium unless it was a play-off game in principle but the stadium itself is one of the best in League One.
