In an interview with the official Swindon Town website Danny Wilson has admitted that he would ideally like to add at least for more names to Town’s squad during this transfer window.

Wilson is negotiating both permanent and loan moves for various unnamed players and hoped to have something completed for the weekend but couldn’t make any promises.

The Town boss stated that ‘realistically we’ll be looking at getting three, maybe four people in.’

Also, Wilson commented that there were various areas that he is keen on strengthening included the left side of midfield to accomendate Alan O’Brien’s injury.

Call me a cynic but the 4 – 3 players will dwindle to 1-2, then the last miniute hitches bring it down to 1.

In fairness it’s been a Town trait over the last decade. Perhaps it’s the media trying to get a story but how many times over the last few years have we been told that there’s someone being lined up as early as the weekend… then after the weekend…. then before the end of the the window…. and then we’ve missed out but “that’s football?”. I assumed that Harry Arter would be one but even that looks unlikely.
